I wish there were more stars to rate the fine establishment of Deyzor Hotel. I have been to Spiti a number of times in the past and this year discovered the gem …….. Deyzor Hotel. And what a fabulous discovery it was. I spent 4 weeks in Kaza at Deyzor from April to May 2023. Karanbir, Kim and Staff set me up in a wonderful room with a desk (and WiFi) overlooking the valley so that I could work. All the staff were attentive, welcoming and provided wonderful service with extra care in the details. The variety of food offered was amazing, catering for a plethora of tastes in generous portions and always top notch quality. Karanbir, has an extensive knowledge and passion for History which is shared through the “library” of books on loan, with wonderful anecdotes and suggestions of the local culture and places to visit. If one listens closely you get to possibly visit some preciously guarded secrets in this magnificent Spiti. Karanbir takes note of his guests and always went the extra mile to offer a new experience or organise a bespoke option. It was a no-brainier, revisiting Spiti in October, Deyzor Hotel was absolutely part of the Himalayan experience. It felt like a homecoming…. With great Welcomes, comforts, extra special warmth and hospitality from everyone. The best welcome of course, by the great bundles of Saint Bernards and fur friends. Deyzor Hotel is a jewel in the crown of Spiti. As mentioned at the beginning…not enough stars for this review. Be back for 2024!!

Great Rooms. Very hospitable staff. Very tasteful decor. Food to die for. Great convos. What else can you ask (?) Definitely the best hotel in Spiti. Nothing comes close to the experience of staying at Deyzor. Thanks for making the stay for me and the group, a memorable one. Thanks Karan-ji and rest of the gang!

Without a doubt Hotel Deyzor is one of the best places we have stayed in India. Karan, the owner, and all of his staff were excellent hosts. The rooms are large, clean, very comfortable and have lots of character. It’s one of the few hotels that, as soon as you walk in the door you want to unpack everything and make yourself at home! We extend our stay from two days to a week just because it was so nice. The restaurant has amazing food and above all, Karan and his team went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our ever moment in the Spiti Valley. This is a very popular place to stay in Kaza so book ahead if you can. Can not recommend highly enough.

Bad experience total waste of money, worst quality of food and harassing decoration, have to change the hotel within a day due to dying aura prevailing, do get deceived, play your mind judiciously, lot of other options available with much better facility and better owners behaviour
